    Default Kerala Palace

    Krishnapuram palace is a traditional Kerala style palace located in Alapuzha district of Kerala, 2 km from Kayamkulam. This palace was built during the period of Anizham Thirunal Martanda Varma (1729-1758 AD). The palace has specialties such as the gabled roofs, narrow corridors, dorma windows, pent roofs and so on. The single storeyed Ettukettu, built in the traditional style with an adjacent pond. The palace complex is in 2 acre, 55 cents.



    The palace museum exhibits include stone and wood sculptures, bronzes, copies of Mural paintings, coins, megalithic remains, stone inscription and such historically and archaeologically important objects. The 'Gajendra Moksha' mural in the palace is the largest mural of Kerala (53 sq ft). Phone: 0479 441133.



    Timings : Open Tuesday to Sunday, 09.000.A.M to 04.30.P.M, closed on all Mondays and national holidays.
