Abbey Church of Saint-Savin-sur-Gartempe

UNESCO World HeritageSite - The church was begun in the mid 11th century and contains many beautiful 11/12th century murals which are still in a remarkable state of preservation. The bell tower spire is 80 metre high. Poitou is located mid way between Tours and Bordeaux in France.
