Thiruchendur Murugan temple is located on the shore of Bay of Bengal in Thoothukudi district of Tamil Nadu. This scenic temple has a fairly high gopuram (tower) with full of statues (single coloured). Raja gopuram : 44 m, 9 storeys there are nine Kalasams (sacred copper pots) at the top of the Gopuram. The main door of the tower is having wooden carving, some are erotic. The temple elephant welcomes pilgrims at the main entry.
