‘Pizza 2’ has been the talk of the town for many reasons. Initially, it was believed that the sequel to ‘Pizza’ would be directed by director Karthik Subbaraj, who directed the first part. But producer C.V. Kumaran of Thirukumaran Entertainment chose debutant Deepan Chakravarthy to wield the megaphone. The production house also confirmed that actors Vaibhav and Sanchita Shetty, would not don the lead roles. In an earlier interview with DC, Sanchita talked about how blessed she was to be a part of ‘Pizza 2: The Villa’, which is her second project for the banner after ‘Soodhu Kavvum’.
The latest buzz is that K.E. Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green, who is co-producing ‘Pizza 2: The Villa’, has chosen to remove Vaibhav and Sanchita from the cast to replace them with bigger names.
A source close to the unit confirms, “The producers have decided to change the lead cast, but haven’t zeroed in on replacements yet.”
‘Pizza 2: The Villa’ will be made as a bilingual and one hears that the producers are looking for actors who would have a greater appeal in K’Town and Tollywood as well.
