Anushka Sharma is upset with a certain section of people in the film industry: Those who have been spreading rumours about her being roped in for Karan Johar’s upcoming film, Shuddhi. Now, both Karan and lead actor Hrithik have denied the rumours and Anushka too, is doing her bit to rubbish the word. Her spokesperson clarified, “I would like to set the record straight. Anushka was never considered or even approached by Dharma Productions for Shuddhi.” Karan in fact, categorically mentioned that the slot for the lead heroine of the film is still very much open. Apparently, the actress’ informal meeting with Dharma Productions was misconstrued as being a deal-sealing exercise. Anushka who is currently shooting for Peekay is unaware of what must have triggered the rumours. “Shuddhi is a big film. And naturally, every actress worth her name would want to be a part of it. But Karan is yet to make up his mind,” says our source adding, “As of now, he is very keen to have Kareena on board.”
