After a round of postponement, it has been finalized that Ilayathalapathy's 'Thalaivaa' will be released just a week before the Independence Day, on August 9th, this year. It was earlier decided that the film will hit the screens on the actor's birthday, but due to technical issues, the release kept getting postponed and until recently, it was expected to be a July release, which was even approved by the distributors, Vendhar Movies. But looks like the team had a change of plans this time as well and the last and final date has been declared to be August 9th. The film is into post production and the work is going on at a rapid pace. 'Thalaivaa' stars Vijay and Amala Paul in the lead and is directed by AL Vijay. With unmatched music by GV Prakash, 'Thalaivaa' crew is to launch their audio at a star studded event on June 21st.
