On 18th July 2012, B-town received a blow when the news of Rajesh Khanna's demise broke out. It's now one year since the legendary actor and romance icon of Hindi cinema passed away.

Remembering the superstar on his first death anniversary is our B-town's Khiladi Akshay Kumar, who paid his tribute on his social networking site thus - "It's been a year today, yet the loss is still so fresh. I don't quite think any of us have accepted my Father in law's devastating departure... To Mr. Rajesh Khanna, they make very few like you, you are a Father, a Legend & a very treasured man, who will never be forgotten. You are in our hearts today & always. Love & eternal prayers, from your entire family."

To commemorate this day and as a mark of honour, a statue of Kakaji will be unveiled today by UTV Stars at the Walk of Stars, at Bandra Bandstand, Mumbai.
