Be on Top in Google search

Every page on your website needs -

Page title, Meta tags, keywords in header tags, ALT tags on all images (include the keyword in the ALT tag), keyword filled content, keyword as close to the top of each page as possible, keywords in links to other pages, keywords in outbound links etc.

Search engines will use the text from your links to rank a site, so include keywords in the links.

The direct outbound link will not promote your site, so include the targeted keyword in the text link.

Before designing a page with a specific keyword, do Google search and the study the high ranking sites, their content, design techniques etc.

Once you have made different pages, create a site map with text links (including keywords) to all the pages. The site map page has to be linked from Home page and from all the other pages. Spider based search engines (like Google) will rank such sites high. Whenever you create a new page, add the link in the site map page too.

A site map will help search engines and surfers to find all the pages of your site. A site map will help users to navigate the website easily. A site with good navigation will keep your visitors to stay longer and browse around the site.

If the navigation in a site is poor, the visitor will head straight to the nearest exit.
