The offline storage has threats like storm or flood removing the power supply to data or switching centre or flu incapacitating key staff, accident (fire, explosion or rogue JCB operator removing the centre or the landlines that connect it with the rest of the world), data storage breakdown, sabotage etc.

Take routine backup at regular intervals and keep it safe under lock at a different physical location.
