Edathua Church

This St. George church is of special significance as it is believed that prayers and offerings here help in healing all kinds of mental disorders and other ailments. The annual feast is held from 5th - 7th May and attracts devotees from all parts of south India. The Church is just 24 km from Alappuzha.

Mullackal Rajarajeswari temple

9-day 'Navarathri' festival

The last two days are the most auspicious days. Colourful processions participated by nine elephants are held in the evening. It is witnessed by thousands of devotees. Also several cultural programmes including Ottanthullal are staged in the temple.

Thaipooyakavadi (One day festival)

About fifteen 'kavadis' take part in this spectacular procession which is presented during the evening.
