yeah also, usually a quick search on google for "free, seach, engine, submission" does the trick.. you can find some which will submit your url to as many as 4000 search engines in one go.

However before you do this make sure you've got relevant meta tags in your site. otherwise it's all in vain and you site won't show up anywhere!
