Mohanlal steals the show in UPO

The FIR (First information report) on Unnaipol Oruvan is out. It’s Mohanlal who is getting all the Thalis (claps) from the audiences. In Chennai multiplexes, he is getting a standing ovation for his performance as the super cool cop Raghava Maraar.
The loudest clap is for Mohanlal’s punchline dialogue- “Kerala is my home, but Tamil Nadu is my home too.” And when chief minister (dubbing artist in M.Karunanidhi’s voice) asks him his favourite deity he says “Sree Krishnan of Ambalapuzha”, the audiences go into raptures.
Mohanlal has done just done only two straight films Mani Ratnam classic Iruvar, where he lived the role of MGR and Nasser’s trashy Popcorn which he has said is his “biggest mistake in his career”.
But Iruvar is one of his most brilliant films and Mohanlal himself proudly says “it is one of my best ever film”. Now the big question being asked is whether, Unnaipol Oruvan will move to that slot?
