Oscar winner Resul Pookutty said it was a stroke of luck to have been part of the historic film Pazhassi Raja which has the stalwarts music composer Ilaiyaraja, writer M.T. Vasudevan Nair and Mammootty.
Resul's big moment of joy came when director Hariharan called up to say that the sound effects matched the mood of the movie. “There were some significant aspects which I had to keep in mind as the effect had to cater to a period which people have only heard about,” says Resul about how he met the imposing challenge.
The movie is based on the historic period when the legendary king Varma Pazhassi Raja ruled and the deeds of this freedom fighter in the Malabar region. History has it that he fought the first war of Independence against the British not perturbed by the odds.
Pazhassi Raja is slated for an October 2 release all over the globe.
