The biggest commercial director that Mollywood have ever created Priyadarshan is flying high in Bollywood with atleast a hit every year. The director has been applauded with National Awards this year for his first realistic movie, ‘Kanchivaram’ that he directed in Tamil.

Anyhow, the director who is still active in Kerala movie circuits is planning to direct one movie in Malayalam by next year. The acclaimed director was talking to media when he came up to inaugurate the Akira Kurosawa film festival. ''I am not yet sure of which film I will be doing, but I have made up my mind to do one by 2010. I still have plans to do more realistic movies after ‘Kanchivaram’. But I have no plans to quit commercial movies for concentrating on this alternate genre of movies'' says Priyadarshan.

Priyan also made it clear that he will be participating in the I PL auction of next year. But this former, local league cricketer is not very much sure of his success in winning a franchisee.
