The big question being asked in Kerala trade circles is whether Mammootty’s epic Pazhassi Raja will clash with Mohanlal’s Angel John, next weekend (Oct 16 to 18)?
Sources close to producers of Pazhassi Raja confirmed that the film is ready for release on Friday Oct 16, as they have decided not to go for a GO to raise the ticket rates. Mammootty’s fan clubs are already making preparations to give the film the biggest ever opening in nearly 120 of the best screens in Kerala.
On the other hand, Antony Perumbavoor of Max Lab, the distributors of Angel John has told the theatres that he is going for a October 15, Thursday release in nearly 80 screens across Kerala. He cannot go on postponing the release as two more Mohanlal films from his company are due this year, Janakan and Ividum Swargam Aanu.
But the trade still feels that Mammootty and Mohanlal films will not clash and that Angel John at the last minute will be shifted to October 23. Please note the film is yet to be censored.
