India is a land of Ayurveda. There are thousands of home remedies which our elders followed for almost every possible disease. All my friends are welcome to add any remedies they know.

Now..coming to bitter gourd. It has the following medicinal value.
Bitter gourd is the best medicine for diabetes. It is rich in A, B1, B2, C vitamins and Iron. Drink bittergourd juice in the morning on empty stomach to keep the diabetes in control.
It is useful in liver problem, pain and swelling of nerves. It is helpful in digestion, joint pain and gas problems.
For piles problems, mix 1 cup curd with 1 tea spn of fresh bitter gourd plant leaves juice and drink. This and the bittegourd juice reduces the piles problems remarkably.
This kills germs in the stomach. This reduces unnecessary body heat.
Eat any version of bitter gourd to keep yourself away from many diseases and remain healthy.

Homemade hair care remedy

Can you deny that dandruff makes your life miserable? In spite of applying various anti-dandruff cosmetic products, you sometimes suffer from mild to severe dandruff condition. Get simple solution with the help of apple cider vinegar. Take at least ¼ cup of apple cider vinegar. Mix this in fresh and normal water. Now preserve the mixture in a spray bottle. Two days in a week, spray the formula on your hair. For at least 15 to 20 minutes, leave the mixture on the hair. It will help you to remove dandruff from the root of the hair.
Who doesn’t want to enjoy silky smooth hair? Hair conditioner pampers the hair with shine and softness. Make a natural recipe for turning your hair into luscious. You have to take 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of aloe vera, 1 tablespoon of sea salt and 1 avocado. First mash the avocado properly. Mix all other ingredients in it. Prepare a wonderful paste. After shampooing the hair, on wet hair use this paste. It will really bring out the smooth effect on the hair.

3 Mini Meditations to Help You Through Your Day (or Night)
1. Mini Breath Meditation
Sit comfortably with your back straight. Take a deep breath and let it go. Begin to silently count at the end of each out breath: Inhale . . . exhale . . . count one, inhale . . . exhale . . . two, inhale . . . exhale . . . three. Then start at one again. Just three breaths and back to one. Simply following each breath in and silently counting. So simple. Do this as many times as you want, eyes open or closed, breathing normally.

2. Mini Walking Meditation
You can do this walking along a country lane, a city street, in the office or the garden. You can walk slowly, normal or fast, whatever feels right. As you walk become aware of your walking, of the movement of your body and the rise and fall of your feet. Become aware of your breath and see if you can bring both your breathing and your walking together. Just walk and breathe with awareness for a few minutes.
3. Instant Letting Go
Find a quiet place to sit, have a straight back, and take a deep breath and let it go. Then quietly repeat to yourself: “My body is at ease and relaxed . . . my heartbeat is normal . . . my mind is calm and peaceful . . . my heart is open and loving.” Keep repeating this until you have let go of the tension and are at peace. Then take a deep breath and have a smile on your face!

Some Useful Yoga Poses For Cold
Yoga cold remedies need practice to perform. Some of them are highly effective if practiced regularly. Here is a list of representative yoga poses for cold.

Yoga Shoulder Stand
Yoga shoulder stand (sarvanga asana) is next best to shirasa asana (headstand) in yoga. Lie relaxed on back with feet together and hands by the side. Breathe a full cycle and lift your legs together so much as to lift the hips and trunk too. At this time, you can support of both the hands with elbows firmly on the ground. Let the feet face upwards without swinging. Hold here for 10 breaths and take off your hands before returning to normal position. Exhale while lowering. As you gain in practice, you can do this without the hands supporting your trunk.
The Bow
Bow is Dhanur asana. Lie down on abdomen and relax for a few breaths. Lift your legs up, backwards, bending at the knees and hold your ankles with your hands.Now, while inhaling, lift up head, chest and thighs with knees clearly off the ground. Now you are completely supported on your abdomen only. Hold it for 4-6 breaths Exhale while returning by retracing the sequence in reverse order.
Yoga Cat Pose
Rest on knees and palms just below shoulders. Hold your spine as straight as possible and look forward. Crouch inwards trying to round the spine and gaze at navel. Exhale while doing this and take a couple of breaths here. Come back to original position inhaling. Now go forward to the cow stretch from here, by dropping the back and lifting head as much as possible. Return to the original position after a couple of breaths while exhaling.
Corpse Pose
You need to lie down on your back on a carpet with feet and palms comfortably away from the body. Starting from toes, concentrate on each organ of body in order to relax fully. Let your breaths calm down automatically. Relax in this position for 10-15 minutes.
Relaxation Pose
Relaxation pose is the same as shava asana or Corpse pose.
All above yoga poses for cold are shown to work on respiratory organs, better than other therapies when practiced as per norms. Further, all yoga cold remedies depend on strict observation of breathing techniques. Thus, additional practicing of pranayama may help better the cause.

Maybe it sounds too good to be true but all you have to do to reach your ideal weight is eat as much fruit as you can every day! If you don't believe it or just want to know more you definitely have to read further but you might want to calculate your ideal weight first.
Lose the weight with fruit

First we think it's best to focus on feeling good. Secondly to remind that in order to live a healthy and energetic life in a body that is fit to do that job, attempting to lose weight only will not be the key. There are some other changes you might want to bring into your life. In order to have the cells of your body function properly they have to receive the right nutritious elements and toxins must be kept away from them as much as possible and should be disposed of properly. In order to reach that goal we have the following recommendations for you:
1) Consume as much as you can of the 'right nutrition';
2) Avoid as much as you can of the 'wrong nutrition';
3) Exercise moderately;
4) Be happy with every small change you've been able to make permanently;
5) Don't make weight loss more complicated as it is.

Health Tips

For minor rashes on the skin.. add few basil leaves in your bathing water before you bathe.
For relief from toothache.. Take two basil leaves, a grain of salt and a pinch of pepper powder and press against the affected tooth.
For a good relief from cough, mix equal quantities of basil juice, honey and ajwain juice and drink on an empty stomach.
To avoid diseases like hepatitis and Typhoid, eat 5 basil leaves everyday.
Patients suffering from Disc Prolapse in lower back or neck not to do the Exercises in the early morning, better to do after 1 hour out of bed.
Slice vegetables into big pieces, so that it won't loose vitamins.

Have a mixture of lemon juice and honey when you are suffering from cold.
Drink basil water everyday, it helps in keeping throat infection and cough at bay.
Avoid excess sugar in tea and coffee.
For fever and cough of children, give some honey mixed with water.
The juice of carrot and tomato, mixed with a little honey is good tonic for children.
Dont drink too too much water or it will cause stain on your kidnetys
