Writer and director Ranjith is once again making a different kind of film.

Penn Paattanam is based on Ranjith’s story of four women- Revathy, Shwetha Menon, Vishnupriya and KPAC Lalitha who work in Kozhikode Kudambasri unit in charge of sewage disposal.

The film has got a lot of commercial elements like humour, sentiments and some action. The dialogues are by TA Razak and directed by VM Vinu.

The others in the cast are Kailas, Nedumudi Venu, Lal, Augustine, Sadiq, Abu Salim, Sivaji Guruvayoor and others. It has music by MG Sreekumar. The film is produced by Varnachitra Subair
