For everyone's surprise, his first month salary was Rs. 1000/- and he gifted his mom with a saree.
Directors Mani Rathnam and Vasanth had just met him at an occasion and called forth a photo shoot, which he took up casually. Well, a particular snapshot was about him putting his around Simran that he felt shy…. Then as he made his debut with 'Nerukku Ner', he happened to be the uprising star.

His debut Film Nerrukku Ner was released in 1997. Directed by Vasanth, he teamed up with his college mate Actor Vijay. Actress Simran paired up with him. Again, Surya was casted by Director Vasanth in his 'Poovellam Kettupar' and it was the same film where Jyothika was introduced. Indeed, Director Vasanth was the matchmaker for both of them miraculously. Again, Surya-Jyothika paired up for 'Uyirile Kalandhadhu' that hit the screens where his father Sivakumar donned the same role.
Again, on Jan 14, 2001 both Surya and Vijay paired up for 'Friends' directed by Siddique. The film happened to the most stunning comedy entertainer with emotional factors. The same year Surya witnessed the greatest turning point in his career. Yeah! It was all about Bala offering him to perform the lead role of a different shade in his 'Nandha'. The film won him the biggest laurels across the globe as hit the screens on November 14, 2001. It was a no turning back situation for the actor… His next film 'Unnai Ninaithu' again featured Surya together with Laila (she was the heroine in Bala's 'Nandha'). The film directed by Vikraman had Sneha too in the female lead. It was a poignant touch of romance and won awards for a good entertainer film. A couple of months later, his another film 'Sree' was released where he played an action packed mass hero role and indeed it turned to be a flop movie. During the yearend, his another film 'Mounam Pesiyadhe' was released on Dec 14, 2002. Director Ameer made his debut directorial with this film. The film introduced Trisha to the film industry and Laila performed a cameo role.
And here comes the most top-notching films from Surya where every piece turned to be great grosser at box office.
'Kaakha Kaakha' directed by Gowtham Menon had again made Surya, Jyothika to pair and this was the moment when both of them became so closer. The film was released on August 1st, 2009 and within couple of months for Diwali another magnum opus 'Pithamaghan' was released for Diwali. Directed by Bala, the film had Surya and Vikram and won several awards…

And nearly for a year, he didn't take up any projects….
On March 2005, 'Maayavi' directed by Bala's assistant Singam Puli had Surya and Jyothika pairing up together…. The same year had yet another blockbuster 'Ghajini' directed by Murugadoss hitting screens on September 2005. Year end was another commercial entertainer 'Aaru' releasing.
'Sillunu Oru Kadhal' directed by Gowtham's assistant Krishna featured Surya and Jyothika in lead role. The film was released on September 8, 2006. He took a long break after his marriage and joined hands with Director Hari for 'Vel' releasing in November 9, 2007. Prithviraj Profile

Prithviraj Sukumaran born October 16, 1982 in Trivandrum, Kerala, India) is an Indian film actor. He made his debut in 2002 with the critically acclaimed Malayalam film Nandanam, and has since established himself in Malayalam cinema through a variety of roles in films such as Ananthabhadram, Chocolate, Vaasthavam, Classmates, Thirakkatha and Thalappavu. He has also made strides in Tamil cinema with hits like Kana Kandaen, Parijatham and Mozhi. Prithviraj was introduced to cinema by Renjith who cast him in his directorial debut film Nandanam. After this he was flooded with offers and was able to appear in films directed by the leading figures of Malayalam film industry such as Lohithadas, Vinayan, Kamal and Bhadran. He was noted for his performances in Stop Violence and Swapnakoodu, films that did well at the box-office. Shyamaprasad, who cast him in lead role in his much acclaimed film Akale, comments that Prithviraj's advantages are his talent and intelligence irrespective of his box office successes. He was critically acclaimed for the portrayal of Sub Inspector Solomon Joseph in Vargam. In this film his character had to go through a wide range of emotions. In the first half of the film he was the corrupt and malicious Inspector, in the second half he falls victim to his arrogance and repents and tries to turn a new leaf.
In 2006, Lal Jose\'s Classmates was released and it turned out to be one of the biggest blockbusters in Malayalam cinema. The film had an ensemble cast consisting of Jayasurya, Narain, Indrajith and Kavya Madhavan. After Vargam, Prithviraj acted in another film Vaasthavam with the same director, M. Padmakumar. It was a hard hitting film in which Prithviraj again got noticed for his intense acting. The role fetched him the Kerala State Award for Best Actor for 2006, and in the process Prithvi became the youngest actor to win the award. In 2007, his film Chocolate directed by Shafi received glowing reviews. His performance in the film has been praised as contributing to the success of the film. In 2008, he starred in Thalappavu directed by Madhupal and Thirakkatha directed by Renjith, in which he took up roles which serve as pivotal characters. One of the reviews of Thalappavu describes it as a film which is truly the coming-of-age film for Prithviraj the actor and that there is a spartan dignity that he brings into his commanding portrayal of Naxalite Joseph. Thirakkatha also received widespread praises from the reviewers.
Prithviraj made his Tamil debut as the villain in Kana Kandaen in 2005. His performance as the handsome, sophisticated and suave villain grabbed quick attention and was praised for his unconventional portrayal of the character. Soon he got an opportunity to act under the direction of Bhagyaraj in the film Parijatham. Bhagyaraj has said in an interview that he became keen on involving Prithviraj in his project essentially influenced by the Media acclaim the actor received in Tamil Nadu following his amazing performance in Kana Kandaen. "The entire media unanimously appreciated him in Kana Kanden. So it was with that confidence that I signed him". His performance in Parijatham also received similar attention and appreciation in Kollywood. In 2007, Mozhi was a film in which his splendid performance was highly praised. The film ran in packed houses for more than 100 Days. He also starred in Satham Podathey and Kannamoochi Yenada, both of which were moderate successes. The success of the films and his own intense performance in them have helped him to enhance his stardom in Tamil tinsel world. The subtle performance of Prithviraj in Kannamoochi Yenada has received special mention by many reviewers. In 2008, Prithviraj starred in Vellithirai, the Tamil remake of Udayananu Tharam, a Malayalam box office success. Most reviewers of the film unequivocally praise Prithviraj's performance.
He was described as "flawless" in his role as an aspiring director. "His character demands underplaying and he exactly does the same. Prithviraj was able to express the anger and agony of being cheated with aplomb. The way he reacts to the betrayal stands out". Yet another review echoes the same feeling: "Prithviraj makes the best of his assets - his expressive eyes, which glint in fury, soften with love, or brim over with frustrated tears". It was Fazil, a leading Malayalam film director, who introduced him to Renjith. Following a decent performance in Nandanam he was flooded with several exciting offers from the industry so that he decided to take a break from his studies and concentrate on acting.

					Dileep Profile

Dileep Gopalakrishnan was born in February 07, 1968 in Desom, Aluva, Ernakulam, Kerala, India. He studied in VVBHS high school (passed 10th Standard in 1985) and joined Aluva U.C. College (Pre-degree - 3rd group - 1985- 1987) and then moved on to Ernakulam Maharajas College. His talent for acting was not known in school and college where he rarely won any accolades or merits. When Dileep finished his studies with M.A. History, he decided to choose art as his profession.
The most happening actor in the Malayalam cinema Dileep- entered the malayalam film industry as a mimicry artist who wanted to be an actor, but then started assisting directors like Kamal. He got his first break in a tiny role of Kamal's film Ennodu Ishtam Koodamo'. And the films which came afterwards like Manathe Kottaram, Mr. Butler, Kakkakkum Poochakkum Kalyanam etc proves him as a good comedy actor. Sallapam a hit movie of sunder das in which he played as a hero gives him a break as a hero in his film career. Later comes Rakshasaraajavu, and Thenkasipattanam as supporting actor which all become hits.
But it was in a movie named Joker directed by Lohitdas which unchained him from the type comedy roles he had at his hand. He played the role of the joker, who always wore a smile at his face and was making others life even when he had a whole lot of personal agonies hid within his heart. He handled the character with easiness that he never had to look back after the film's stupendous success.
Dileep became the most hated man in Kerala when he married Manju Warrier and she stopped acting. she was one of the most loved and talented actresses that has happened to Kerala in recent times.
Subsequently, after the film 'Joker' his demand as a successful hero started with hit after hit like Ishtam, Ee Parakkum Thalika, Punjabi House, Kunjikoonan, Mazhathullikilukkam, Thilakkam, and the all time hit Meesa Madhavan . He also produced a film under his home production named CID Moosa which also become a hit movie. Kavya Madhavan Profile

Kavya Madhavan is a popular Malayalam cinema actress . Though she normally does regular unimportant heroine roles, she has proved her ability in handling serious roles as well.
Born in the village of Nileshwaram in Kasaragod district, Kerala, India to P. Madhavan and Shyamala. She started to learn dance while studying in Nileswaram Rajas High School. She was the kalathilakam (A title bestowed to the artist who proves her skills in most artistic fields during a Sub District youth festival) in Kasargod.
Kavya entered the industry as a child artist in the film Pookkalam Varavayi (1991) doing the role of a School Girl. She came to public attention when she did the childhood part of the heroine character in Kamal's Azhakiya Ravanan (1996). Since then, she has acted in over 25 films in Malayalam and a few in Tamil. She is noted for having retained her rural Nileshwaram accent. She is not allowed to dub for her movies because her voice does not fit the usual "sweet and soft" voice of typical dubbers. However, she recently has begun to dub for some of her roles, such as Perumazhakkalam.

					Archanakavi Profile

Archanakavi says about herself: "I was born and brought up in Delhi. I came to Kerala to do my BBA. While doing BBA, I was anchoring a program called 'Bloody Love'. Lal sir saw the program and he saw an album and so he called me for the audition. Me and my cousin went to meet Lal sir. During the audition, I was told that there were a group of people from which I had to single out a person and smile at him, not with my lips but with my eyes. I did that." "Then I was called to Calicut to meet MT sir. MT sir asked me about my background and asked me if I knew to read Malayalam. Then I was asked to wear set mundu. But it was not available at first. Then somehow it was arranged and I wore it and presented myself before MT sir. Sir told me that I would be notified if I was selected. I was informed about my selection one month after the audition. Until then I thought I hadn\'t bagged the role because I am a very Delhi person. But then I was blessed to meet MT sir in person. This is not a chance that everyone gets. But two days before the movie pooja I was called and informed that I was selected. I was shocked and I asked Is it for the main role or some other supporting role?. And that is how I was selected to don the character of Kunjimalu."
