PhpBB problems

I need to know how to change the background image in the file? Say I want it to be camouflage instead of subsilver?

well, its not a file, its a template, and it contains a lot of files. you have to download the, you can download a lot from www.phpbb.com . Then you upload them using your FTP Program to:

www.yourdomain.com/Forum/templates/ <------ and you add the folder that contains all the template's files. the folder is named exactly as the template.


you might have /PHPBB2/ instead of /Forum/ so if it doesent work, try both.


After, go to your forum, login as an admin, go to your Admin Panel, Go to Styles Admin, Management or Install Styles (cant remember which one) And a list of templates that ARENT installed will be there. You will noticed that the Template you just uploaded will be there. Click Install next to it. And you are done!

*You can make the template you want the default template in the Configurations Page, set the template you wish as a default and click submit.

you can also delete all templates except one from your PHPBB FORUM. The only one you will leave is going to be the default and the ONLY one available for users if you want them to use only that template.

if u dont want another style but to simply change the color i think there's another way to do so. first make a copy of all ur subsilver files as backup then log in to ur phpbb admin panel. one the navigation side scroll down until u find 'styles admin' and find the link 'create' under it. play around with it, u can change colors of a lot of things in the template. i haven't gotten much of a chance to mess with it so i cant help u out too much.
