‘I’m down but not out’ – Bhavana

Bhavana, who debuted in Tamil films as heroine with debutant director Myshkin’s ‘Chittiram Pesudhadi’opposite another debutant Naren, hasn’t been as successful as a heroine as she would have expected.
Though she has been getting offers here and there, for some reasons, she hasn’t been able to make to the top as a frontline actress. Her last film was the Ajit-starrer ‘Asal’, which unfortunately didn’t fare well at the box-office. Finding no takers in Tamil, she found solace in the few Telugu and Malayalam film offers.
“I am waiting for the big break with optimism. I’m also very careful and choosy in selecting the character I’d play in films. I have never ‘exposed’ beyond acceptable limits in any of my films. Whoeverapproaches me with offers suiting my image, I do my best for them. I’m ready to wait for more time for that big break.”, says the charming actress.
Asked about her marriage, she quickly denies it. “Marriage is not in the cards now; it can wait. I’m not at all in a hurry to get married. My aim is to star in good movies and to be remembered as an actress with substance. ”, concludes Bhavana.
