Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Kochi, Kerala
In the eleven short years since its inception, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) has grown from a 115 bed specialty hospital to a 1200 bed super-specialty tertiary care health centre with an attached medical college hospital. On the 17th of May 1998, AIMS was inaugurated by the then Prime Minister of India, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, in the presence of Her Holiness, Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi.
How to reach AIMS, Cochin
By Air:
Cochin International Airport at Nedumbassery is 25 km away from AIMS. Pre-paid taxi service is available at the airport. It is approximately a 60 minute drive to reach the hospital at Edapally in Ernakulam.
By Rail:
Railway stations are either Edappally,Ernakulam North or Ernakulam Junction, depending on the train. Pre-paid taxi service is available at the railway station. It is approximately a 30 minute drive to reach the hospital at Edapally in Ernakulam.
