Located in Kottayam district of Kerala,School of Indian Legal Thought came into existence in 1989. The college is an integral part of Mahatma Gandhi University. It intends to impart comprehensive education through moot-court room sessions, guest lectures, debates and discussions. The institution boasts of providing state-of-the-art facilities to the aspirants. Approved by Bar Council of India (BCI), New Delhi, School of Indian Legal Thought Kottayam helps the scholars to acquire thorough understanding of legal terms. The candidates should possess LLB degree, from a recognized university.

Doctorate:
The applicants should have a Master’s degree in law.

The candidates, who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in any stream from a recognized Board, with minimum 40% aggregate marks, can apply. Relaxation of 5% is there for SC/ST candidates.
Admission Procedure:

Selection is based on the applicant’s performance in qualifying examination.

Doctorate:
Admissions are done as per the applicants’ performance in the qualifying examination.
