The bearded Prabhu deva, the choreographer-turned-actor-turned-director, has said that he has always felt that he was being guided by ‘destiny’ and that he had got used to the habit of ‘taking things in their stride’, accepting them as irrevocable acts by fate.

Looking apparently happy on the eve of his impending marriage with actress Nayantara and on the receipt of the much-needed divorce from his first wife Ramalat, Prabhudeva spoke casually in a free-wheeling interview during when he said that he had always been goaded by destiny.

“I had always been a hapless victim of my own fate. When I was in school, I couldn’t become a bright student and destiny first made me a choreographer, then an actor and then a director. To be very frank, I had never planned anything in my life…be it my marriage to Ramalat…the separation from her….everything is the effect of fate, I believe.

“At the present moment, I’m in a very happy frame of mind. It’s been my ambition all along to entertain those around me in particular and the people in general. I attempt to take everything, whether it’s positive or negative, in my stride with a balanced mind-set. I don’t want to sensationalise anything; whatever is bound to happen, will happen at any cost and no man or no force can prevent it from occurring,” concluded a ‘philosophical’ Prabhudeva.

When queried as to what was his Valentine’s Day plan, he said he would be engaged in a discussion about his forthcoming Hindi film.
