    Watermelon Sherbet Smoothies



    Ingredients

    3 cups fresh watermelon cubes
    1 cup crushed ice
    1 cup watermelon, raspberry or lime sherbet
    4 teaspoons lime juice
    1/2 cup miniature semisweet or white chocolate chips

    Instructions


    1. About 10 minutes before you're ready to mix the smoothies, place four tall glasses in the freezer to frost. Then wash the whole melon as you would other fruits and vegetables, and cut it into quarters. (The number of quarters you'll need to yield 3 cups of cubes will depend on the size of the melon.)

    2. Slice each quarter you plan to use lengthwise into three wedges, then slice the flesh away from the rind. Use a fork to scrape away the seeds and chop the melon into cubes.

    3. Combine the crushed ice, watermelon cubes, lime juice and watermelon, raspberry, or lime sherbert, and blend until smooth.

    4. Pour the mixture into the frosted glasses and top each one with a half dozen or so miniature chocolate chips. Serves 4.

    Kids' Strawberry Daiquiris



    Ingredients

    * 6 ice cubes
    * 16 strawberries
    * 1/2 cup frozen concentrated limeade
    * 1/2 cup water


    Instructions

    Place the ice cubes in a blender or food processor and pulse until they are crushed. Add the strawberries, concentrated limeade and water. Puree the mixture until smooth and thick. Pour into tall glasses with flexistraws. Makes 2 servings.

    Avocado Smoothie



    Ingredients

    * 1 avocado, peeled and pitted
    * 1 cup milk
    * 1 cup ice cubes
    * 2 tablespoons sugar
    * 1/2 teaspoon vanilla


    Instructions


    1. In a blender, combine all ingredients, then blend until smooth. Makes 3 servings.

    Limeberry Crush


    Ingredients


    * 2 pints of hulled strawberries
    * 1 1/2 cups of crushed ice
    * 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
    * 2 tablespoons of lime juice


    Instructions


    1.In a blender, combine strawberries, crushed ice, confectioners' sugar, and lime juice.

    2.Blend the mixture until smooth, then serve immediately. Makes 4 cups.

    Ginger Jaggery Juice
