Newbie or n00b, do u noe wat it means? Do u hate that term?

hey ya
u probably had heard that term before somewhere on the internet or when u playing online games with other people.
For those of u who doesn't.
This is a computer term people uses online
newbie and n00b means somebody who's new to something, esp. games
newbie is a more polite term then n00b
but most people takes it as an offensive word which i too

I want to know if u get offended when people call u?

This is just an idea that i came up with out of nowhere

n00b doesn't necessarily mean you're new to something.

It's native meaning is newbie = new person to something.

BUT

Today, people use it as an alternative to saying "God you suck at this". Whether the person is a true newbie, or someone they just h8.

I don't get offended when get called a n00b, I explain to them that they are the n00b.

If you're called a n00b, and you're a n00b - why would you be offended though?

because then it's like some1 cussin with some racial comment
maybe not u, but i am sure lot of people get offended

but i do agree with ur definition of noob doesn't necessarily mean they are new to something
for myself personally, i am pretty ancient to warcraft3. but i still get beat when playing a regular game. ROFL
it's just because sometimes, u don't use ur head when playing it

Actually I've never called someone a n00b or newbie and neither have I ever been called one of the two. Also like SCM said most people don't call you a n00b or newbie because you are new, but rather bacause you're irritating(irritating can be asking dumb questions or in online games doing something that annoys someone else like in MMOs kill stealing) or bad a something.

I don't get offended at all.
nOOb also means you are new. For example if you registered to a new forum, you have a title "nOOb", when u get 10 posts u get a title "Member", so there's nothign to be offended off...
