    Water And Food Safety

Healthy food and clean water is a must:

Diseases caused while traveling and eating are the leading cause of illness in travellers. Here are some of the precautionary measures you should take to ensure safe consumption of food and water:

You should stay away from unpasteurized dairy products.

Before consuming any meal, make sure to wash your hands with soap and water. In case you want to substitute soap and water you can use an alcohol-based hand gel (with at least 60% alcohol).

Vomiting and diarrhoea are the diseases one often gets from the consumption of contaminated food and water.

In India malaria, dengue, chikungunya, cholera, typhoid and yellow fever are some of the diseases that are fatal.
There are no vaccines available for malaria and dengue. A traveler must take the following points while traveling to India.

    1. Wash hands before and after the meal.
    2. Eat covered food.
    3. Wash fruits before eating
    4. Drink only bottled water or purified water
    5. Regularly use mosquito repellent sprays and creams
    6. Use mosquito repellent patch while traveling.
