RAMESWARAM ISLAND: Breaking his silence over the income tax raids at his properties, superstar Mohanlal today said he had not committed any offence.

Talking to newspersons here, he said "I have not committed any offence. If I have committed any wrongdoing, they (Government) can take action." Mohanlal arrived in this island town this morning for shooting of a Malayalam film Pranayam in which he stars along with well known Bollywood actor Anupam Kher.

It may be recalled that the income tax department sleuths had, yesterday, raided the offices and residences of Mohanlal and his other super star colleague Mammootty in Chennai, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram and Bangalore for alleged tax evasion.
