SF Medical case put off to Friday
The Kerala High Court today put off to Friday (July 29) the case pertaining to the conduct of the Entrance Test by the Kerala Private Medical College Managements Association (KPMCMA) at Kozhikode recently for admission to the MBBS management seats in 11 SF medical colleges in the state.
Representing KPMCMA, Abdul Jabbar today filed the affidavit before Justice Antony Dominic stating that the entrance was conducted in the proper manner. A total of 1200 students had appeared for the entrance and 900 students qualified in it. The Justice P A Muhammed Committee was informed of the proceedings for the conduct of the entrance, the affidavit said.
The petitioner, Amina Ahna of Karanthur in Kozhikode, alleged that the entrance was not held transparently. The KPMCMA has made arrangements for giving admission to those who were ready to give money and the entrance was just a farce, she said in the petition. She has prayed for making admission from the medical ranklist already prepared by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations, Kerala.
The court today asked the petitioner to file the counter-affidavit on Friday.
