I believe that those who die take another life form, though not automatically ghosts but rather spirits that still roam around this planet. I am not that convinced though of how they would look bad as how they are portrayed in movies.

I believe that the best way you could describe are free roaming spirits that are still bound by the earth, because they have no other place to go to.
