People laugh
Children play
But all is sad without you

Time goes on
Day turns to night
But life stands still without you

People meet
Hopes expressed

Adventures lived
Experience gained
But there is no meaning without you

Work is done
Time's put in
But there is no value without you

Prayers are said
God is begged
But still I am without you

When all is said
This life I dread
Every day without you

We use to be so close
i use to tell you everything
we use to text flat
i use to smile when i seen you
we use to make each other giggle
i used to fill you in on all the goss


But then one day everything changed
not for the best but for the worst
we had drifted apart
the pain of loosing you my friend had broken my heart

now things are looking better
since you wrote me that letter
were starting to pick up all the pieces
i just want us to be back the way were
i hope this time we will stay friends forever:

Sitting beside you, staring into your eyes
my stomach does a flip and my heart cries
i don't think i should be feeling, like i am today
because every time you touch me, our love just melts away
i know you'd do anything, to keep me by your side
but I'm not feeling the same, and i don't know why
it used to be that every time you touched me i felt like flying
but today I'm feeling strange...i feel like our love is dying
so the hardest part now, is for me to figure out
if today will last forever, or am i just having doubts
saying goodbye will be too hard, i already know
I've already figured out that its hard to let people go
i guess you could call me confused, because its obvious that i must be
i guess i could wait for you, but I'd only be hurting me
so until you're in my shoes, and know just how i feel
don't call me crazy,because you don't know the deal
i just want you to get the picture, that its my heart to break
and if I've done the wrong thing, then I'll learn from my mistake
so I'm trying my hardest, I'm going to say goodbye
its hurts for me to keep it in, but it hurts to see you cry
so once again, here i am, not knowing what to do
i don't want to hurt me, but it seems worse to be hurting you
so i guess i'll just hold on, i'll try to keep it in
maybe this feeling i have today, wont ever come again

I thought I had found the perfect friend,
But it only took about a week for that to end,
I thought there was hope left in my life,
But as it turns out, it was only added strife,
I thought for once I had done something right,
But I quickly corrected that oversight,
I thought I wasn’t useless or a bore,
But I was all that and even more,
I thought there was a purpose to my days,
But that was only a very short phase,
I thought you weren’t like all the rest,
But like those before, you failed the test,
I thought you would stay with me, at least for a bit,
But you decided it was better just to quit,
I thought life was worth living for a moment in time,
But the life I wanted could never be mine,
I thought the hunger inside had been fed,
But now I know, I was just being misled.
And now I think I’ve found another perfect friend,
How long before my heart is broken again?

Around the corner, down the street
I know you’ll always be there.
When I’m feeling down, with no one around
I know I can look to you.
When I need a hug, or need a friend
I don’t have to worry.
For when we met and became friends, I knew I wouldn’t be sorry.

Friends will tell you if you have
Mascara in your eye.

Friends know all your mishaps,
Friends, they don't make fun,
Friends will never blab your faults
In front of everyone.

Friends believe in kindness,
Friends, they're in the know,
Friends will never let you down
Or say "I told you so!"
