Around 100,,000 crore worth Gold treasure (Nidhi) has been found in the secret cellars (6 in number) of the famous Kerala Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu - Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple. The one foot high golden idol of Padmanabhaswamy studded with more than 1000 previous stones is valued to around Rs. 500 Crore and a 30 kg golden ‘anki’ were the main attraction of the collection. The temple has a huge collection of gold ornaments, diamonds, gems, silver, old coins and many antique items kept in its secret underground chambers.
