Applications have been invited by Indian Institute of Technology, Powai, Mumbai for admission to M.Des Program for the Academic Year 2012-2013 through CEED (Common Entrance Examination for Design).
Eligibility for applying to the Master of Design programme:
(i) Product Design at IDC:
* Valid CEED Score
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Architecture / Design / Interior Design, or equivalent
* Professional Diploma of NID / Professional Diploma of CEPT (5 year program) or equivalent with minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grades (50% in case of SC/ST).


(ii) Visual Communication, Animation and Interaction Design at IDC:
* Valid CEED Score
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Architecture / Design / Interior Design, or equivalent
* Professional Diploma of NID / Professional Diploma of CEPT (5 year program) or equivalent
* BFA - Professional course in Applied Arts / Fine Arts. (4 year Professional programme, after 10+2)
* GD Arts (5 year professional course after 10th) - Candidates having 5-year GD Art Degree / Diploma after 10th standard need to have either completed 12th standard examination or have additional one year of professional experience with minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grades (50% in case of SC/ST)
* Masters Degree in Arts / Science / Computer Applications


(iii) Mobility and Vehicle Design at IDC:
* Valid CEED Score.
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Architecture / Design/ Interior Design, or equivalent
* Professional Diploma of NID / Professional Diploma of CEPT (5 year program) or equivalent
* BFA - Professional course in Applied Arts/Fine Arts(4 year Professional programme, after 10+2), with minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grades (50% in case of SC/ST)


(iv) M.Des Programme for foreign Nationals:
* Must have a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grades (5.5/10.0 or 2.2/4.0) at Bachelor's Degree/Professiona Diploma or Professional courses (Minimum 5-year duration) in engineering / Architecture / Design / Fine Arts
* Valid TOEFL score (for candidates from non-English speaking countries)
* Outstanding portfolio (which will be evaluated by Post Graduate Committee (PGC) of IDC, IIT Bombay

6th February, 2012: Last date of receipt of hard copy of Completed M.Des Application forms at IIT Bombay Academic Office.
8th February, 2012: Sending of M.Des Applications to IDC
24th February, 2012: Dates for displaying the list of candidates to be called for M.Des Test and interview on IIT Bombay
9th March, 2012: Date for M.Des Written Test
10th &11th March, 2012: Date for M.Des Interview
