How I can make a bootable CD?

My floopy drive is down and I think about the bootable CD. I tried to do it with Nero (El torito or somethink) but it didn't work. I've downloaded special cd image and burned it, but it didn't work also. What could be the problem here? I have everything set in Bios (cd is first to boot).

What are you trying to boot exactly?

you can use such as burning software like Nero Burning

Search on google for the CD burner program "Deep Burner", just download that and use it to make a boot CD. All it requires is a spare CD and a click of a button :)

Get cdrtools. It burns eltorito bootable cd's and many other formats. I use it personally.

I think you should open the image to burn directly.
Not just copy files.
