Anyway, I'm just curious because I love chicken recipes and I've been looking into some of the best and the most delicious Indian recipes out there. But I always encounter this spice: garam masala. Is there are substitute for that here in North America? I'm sorry to ask but what does it look like or do you know of some spice that can be a good substitute for that? I'd love to try this at home and surprise my gf with this recipe.

And also, how much water did you put in the pan? Sorry about asking these questions but I want to cook perfectly as much as possible.
