Microsoft updated its MSN Messenger application, now with enhanced video and voice calls. Further Microsoft also launched a finished version of an online scrapbook service named as, MSN Spaces, and rolled out new advertising opportunities.

MSN Messenger will now with up gradation gives users the option of downloading free "theme packs"- including backgrounds, emotions and other graphics.

MSN Messenger 7.0 includes PC-to-PC videophone and voice-only services, PC-to-mobile text messaging, available in the spring; and photo-sharing options.

Both MSN Spaces and Messenger 7.0 have also been optimized for advertising, allowing marketers to tout brands in brief video commercials, text ads, links to Web sites, and banner spaces.
