    Default Halo Rules, Hollywood sucks.

Seriously, they haven't released a decent flick since Saving Private Ryan, the majority of their garbage being Politically Correct junk, or some "Romantic Comedy" that's so rediculously immature and unfunny that I feel like I've violated my eyes just by watching the first half hour.

Concerning videogames, virtually all directors, Hollywood or Independent, can't make anything worth owning on DVD. Both Tomb Raider movies sucked, both Resident Evils sucked, Final Fantasy (who's plot was about as removed from the games as you could get) was a good-looking, computer-generated tribute to some vague spiritist philosophy that made most of my educated friends laugh themselves to death at it's sheer idiocy, and most of the Game-based movies made in the years to come will probably consist primarily of lots of unrealistic/ultraviolent action coupled with crappy acting and stupid/boring stories.

If they ever turn Halo into a movie, I won't go see it, because I know exactly what will happen. Chief will be pretty much the same, they'll turn Cortana into a cyber-bimbo, making her current incarnation look like an innocent school girl. The Covenant may or may not speak English, and will be portrayed as barbarous monsters at first, then, just a little before midway through, we'll see things from their side, and discover that they, or at least a faction of them, really aren't all that bad, and are just misunderstood, and need some compassion and understanding. After that, I can't say I can tell, but rest assured that the movie will essentially deficate all over everything the games built the franchise up to be. Ok, it may not be exactly like that, but this is all based on the recent trends I've observed emerging in Hollywood flicks.

Funny thing is, the games already do a damned good job of being viewer-immersive movies, so I don't think it'd be necessary for Hollywood to go and turn it into a disappointing piece of garbage with too many obvious computer graphics and crappy actors.

Money will ruin it, most certainly.

Final Fantasy the movie had really nothing to do with Final Fantasy Games, but I think I will like the anime Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children wich is the film of what by most is considered to be THE best Final Fantasy game ever(including me).

    Default I don't think so

I don't think that there must be an movie about Halo. Tomb raider was funny but not more. I think that games stay games. Making an game from the movie is different.

Are you truly considering that they should even create a Halo movie? I mean, Halo is an excellent game, hands-down. I've played it over 200 hours, probably, by now and there is still replayibility in the game because of the fact that it in a First Person Shooter which can put you against so many people whom you can fight to gain a station among others. The game is a mindless game of action, and the story also lacks depth being repetitve itself: "Oh, dear, Halo is going to destroy the universe!"...Second game: "Oh dear, not again...Halo is going to destroy the universe!".

A movie would simply ruin the franchise and create another mindless, depthless, storyline that would only rake money from fans, which I might add is probably economical but stupid when it comes to the actual quality of the film.

I've played a bit of Halo. It was pretty fun, but I'm not much of a gamer, so I didn't get that much into it. If they made a movie, my response would be the same as my response to every other video game movie: yawn.

I think definitely yes !! I would like to see more of the outdoor scenes than the indoor ones though. That game really rocks when you get to drive the jeep (or whatever they called it). I loved running over the aliens....that would make for great movie scene.
