I Dreamed a Dream' Parody Urges Academy to Give Anne Hathaway the Oscar
As the Oscar’s are approaching, Emma Fitzpatrick’s parody of Anne Hathaway’s “I Dreamed a Dream” helps to remind everybody of Anne Hathaway's talent in the Les Miserables.
In the video, “For your Consideration,” Fitzpatrick plays Hathaway’s character Fantine. With her short hair and grungy look, Fitzpatrick sings why Hathaway is deserving of a win on Oscar night.
“I coughed and wheezed and cried in every scene until I died,” she sings. “And I lost half my body weight but then they never did a wide shot.”
Hathaway is nominated for best supporting actress. Fitzpatrick shows off her vocals as she ends the video singing for members of the Academy to “please don’t forget Anne with and E.”
The 85th Annual Academy Awards airs live Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. ET on ABC.
