Deepa Mehta’s Midnight’s Children, based on Salman Rushdie’s book, features Shriya Saran playing a Rajasthani dancer gifted with special powers. It is believed that according to the storyline, the character dwells in a hut. In order to prepare for her role, Shriya has apparently spent quite a few nights to experience the feeling of living in a hut. She says it has provided her with an entirely new perspective on life and living. She is confident of her performance in the film and is expecting it to make a sound impact on the audience as well as the critics
