Director Sam Raimi (Spider-Man, Evil Dead) returns with a new film this year. Titled Oz the Great and Powerful, it is an adaptation of the novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum. Playing the role of the beloved Wizard of Oz is James Franco, whose character is actually a circus magician called Oscar Diggs. After being blown away from Kansas in a hot air balloon, he finds himself in the magical world of Oz. He runs into the three witches Glinda (Michelle Williams), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Theodora (Mila Kunis), and must save the day despite not being a real wizard.
Fans of Evil Dead, look out for an appearance by the legendary Bruce Campbell! He plays a character called the Winkie Gate Keeper. No, we're not sure what exactly the role is, but we're sure Bruce will make it extra special.
