Pathiramanal is a small island in Muhamma Panchayath of Alappuzha district in the Vembanad lake. The name 'Pathiramanal' means 'Sands of midnight'. It has a variety of flora and fauna. The island is home to around 91 local species of birds and 50 migratory birds.



Narrow stone paved pathway take one to the other side of the island where a small Sree Narayana temple is located. Till late seventies of the 20th century 14 worker families resided in the island. The right path is more scenic as one can walk around 1 km towards south.
