Ceramic Engineering
Ceramic Engineering is the technology of manufacturing and usage of ceramic materials. Many engineering applications benefit from ceramics characteristics as a material. The characteristics of ceramics have garnered attention from engineers across the world, including those in the fields: Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and many others.
Chemical Engineering
Chemical engineering is the branch of engineering that deals with the application of physical science (e.g. chemistry and physics), with mathematics, to the process of converting raw materials or chemicals into more useful or valuable forms. In addition to producing useful materials, chemical engineering is also concerned with pioneering valuable new materials and techniques, an important form of research and development. A person employed in this field is called a chemical engineer.
Civil Engineering
Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works such as bridges, roads, canals, dams and buildings.[1] Civil engineering is the oldest engineering discipline after military engineering, [2] and it was defined to distinguish it from military engineering. [3] It is traditionally broken into several sub-disciplines including environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, transportation engineering, water resources engineering, materials engineering, coastal engineering, [4] surveying, and construction engineering. [5] Civil engineering takes place on all levels: in the public sector from municipal through to federal levels, and in the private sector from individual homeowners through to international companies.
Computer Science & Engineering
This engineering stream teaches about the design, development, manufacture and maintenance of computer components.
Construction
Construction engineering concerns the planning and management of the construction of structures such as highways, bridges, airports, railroads, buildings, dams, and reservoirs.
Electronic and Electrical Engineering
This engineering course includes research, development, design, creation and maintenance of a diverse set of objects ranging from global Positioning Systems to semi-conductor chips used in mobile phones.
Environmental Science & Engineering
Environmental science and engineering is becoming an interesting career option because of the increase in consciousness about the environment. Environmental scientists and engineers are now playing the important role of the guardians of the environment. Coupled with tremendous economic development, India has also witnessed a high degree of environmental pollution. The onus now lies on the environmental engineers and scientists to make India tread the path of sustainable development.
Food Technology
Food technology, or Food tech for short is the application of food science to the selection, preservation, processing, packaging, distribution, and use of safe, nutritious, and wholesome food.
Industrial Engineering
This branch of engineering studies teaches how to make the machines and people work in tandem with each other so that maximum productivity is derived.
Information Technology
Information technology (IT), is "the study, design, development, implementation, support or management of computer-based information systems, particularly software applications and computer hardware." IT deals with the use of electronic computers and computer software to convert, store, protect, process, transmit, and securely retrieve information.
Instrumentation Engineering
This engineering stream teaches about design, manufacture and maintenance of instruments and instrument units.
Industrial Design:
Industrial design courses offer a combination of technical expertise, creativity, practical knowledge and visualization skills. It trains an individual in designing a wide variety of products for daily use ranging from automobiles, airplanes, computers, medical equipments, sports gears to office accessories.
Leather Technology
Manufacturing Engineering A Manufacturing Engineer is taught how to manufacture things - be it structures, machinery, electronics, medical devices, automobile parts, textiles and clothing, or household products or toys or cans and bottles any thing and everything that can be manufactured.
Marine Engineering
Under this engineering course, one gets to learn the designing, construction and management of ships and other naval vehicles.
Mechanical Engineering
This engineering branch is concerned with the design, construction, and operation of power plants, engines, and machines. It deals mostly with things that move.
Metallurgical Engineering
This stream of engineering studies deals with metals - basically the research, development and manufacture of new metal alloys for wide applications across industries.
Mining Engineering
This engineering stream deals with mines and minerals. The mining equipment is developed and manufactured by mining engineers. Besides this, there are also an array of other engineering courses which one can specialize in like ceramic engineering, textile engineering, nuclear engineering. ..the list can go on and on.
Oil Technology
Plastics Engineering
Plastics engineering encompasses the processing, design, development, and manufacture of plastics products.
Plant Polymer Engineering
Polymer engineering is generally an engineering field that designs, analyses, and/or modifies polymer materials. Polymer engineering covers aspects of petrochemical industry, polymerization, structure and characterization of polymers, properties of polymers, compounding and processing of polymers and description of major polymers, structure property relations and applications
Production Engineering
Robotics
Robotics is a field of engineering that deal with design and application of robots and the use of computer for their manipulation and processing. Robots are used in industries for speeding up the manufacturing process. They are also used in the field of nuclear science, sea-exploration, servicing of transmission electric signals, designing of bio-medical equipments etc. Robotics requires the application of computer integrated manufacturing, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, biological mechanics, software engineering and the like.
Rubber Technology
The subject that deals with the processing of latex, natural rubber or synthetic rubber to transform them into useful products is known as Rubber Technology. This subject also deals with different types of rubbers, their properties, and descriptions of formulation of rubber compounds
Silk Technology
Sugar Technology
Textile Engineering
Textile engineering (TE) or textile technology deals with the application of scientific and engineering principles to the design and control of all aspects of fiber, textile, and apparel processes, products, and machinery. These include natural and man-made materials, interaction of materials with machines, safety and health, energy conservation, and waste and pollution control. Additionally, textile engineers are given training and experience in plant design and layout, machine and wet process design and improvement, and designing and creating textile products.
