    Flower valley of Uttrakhand

    Default Opening of the Kedarnath & Badrinath shrines

    Char Dham Yatra 2014 : Open from 5 May 2014

    As the roads in the Char dham Yatra area are not so safe, only 1000 pilgrims will be permitted a day after bio-metric registering.

    On the Gaurikund - Kedarnath route only 500 pilgrims are permitted a day, of which 100 are from Uttarakhand. The 8th century Shiva temple is at 3581 m accessible by 14 km trek from Gaurikund. Helicopter trip is also available to Kedarnath shrine.

    How to Reach

    There is early morning buses from Rishikesh Yatra bus stand to the holy shrines of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath & Badrinath.
