PhD 2014 admission at CECRI
Central Electrochemical Research Institute, Karaikudy, under CSIR has invited applications for admission to Ph.D. Programme of session January 2014
Ph.D. (Science): A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology/Medicine or B.S (of 4 year duration) or a Master’s degree in Science having a valid National level fellowship (JRF/SRF of various funding agencies, e.g. CSIR, UGC, DBT, DST etc.), INSPIRE or other equivalent fellowships.
Ph.D. (Engineering): A Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology/ Pharmacy or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology with exceptionally good academic record or a Master’s degree in Sciences with a valid GATE score or UGC/CSIR NET/NBHM or valid CSIR-SRF or equivalent fellowship.
Application Process:
For admission to Ph.D programme, candidates need to fill the application ONLINE .
Selection Process:
All applications received through AcSIR will be screened at CSIR-CECRI by a committee and only those candidates who are found suitable will be called for interview/counseling at CSIR-CECRI. No TA will be paid by CECRI for attending the interview / counseling at Karaikudi. However candidates called for interview / Counseling will be provided accommodation at CECRI Guest House on payment of nominal charges.
Fellowship:
Candidates selected for the Ph.D. Programme at CECRI shall draw their fellowship and other allowances, contingency etc., as per the scheme applicable to the candidate.

Intimation to candidates (electronic) and upload on AcSIR Website: October 31, 2013
Interview / Counseling: November 18 – December 13, 2013
Declaration of results (on the web): December 18, 2013
Enrollment: January 6-7, 2014
Commencement of Academic Session: January 10, 2014
