I'm not a big Tom Hanks fan but there are few movies of his I really like. Maybe not because of him, but just for the film itself:

The Green Mile
Forrest Gump
The Terminal

Honestly, I would have liked them if a different actor was cast, but Hanks did really well in the Terminal so mayone only he could have pulled it off that well.
