First Rambha was out of the film because of not attending the shooting. But then again she was selected for the same role. MAYILATTAM that stars Jayaram went on floor recently. The film which is being directed by V M Vinu had Rambha as its lead heroine. But on the first day of the shoot Rambha was found missing. She was unable to attend the shooting.

The very much upset producers started looking for another heroine. Gayathri Raghuram was selected for this role. But when Gayathri read the script she felt that there was nothing much for her to do in the film. So she rejected the role outright. By then Rambha's manager came to know about the incident. Rambha was sent to the location immediately. As of now Rambha is not aware that she was dumped sometime from this film and Gayathri was selected for the same role.
