Adobe buying a multi-product company is a bad Idea.
Adobe is in the buisness of reading and interpeting and graphic making while Macromedia is for flash, and web uploading.
The products will only get crappier from here on.
Thats why I will keep copys of all the current software from both companies.
This is extremly bad, and won't be good from here on.
Hope things will work out.

i think they will do fine, but it is a leap from where they are.

I think that the prices of the macromedia products will rise slightly; however, i am glad that i have bught my version of dreamweaver allready. Unfortunattly, i will have to upgrade sometime in the future, becuase i only have Dreamweaver MX 2004 and 2006 should be comming out soon.

It seem Adobe wants to go into the interactive graphics market as well. I feel it's a STRATEGIC move to buy over your "would be" competitor.

well, we'll just have to wait, and see what happens. :)

Hmm. That's kind of interesting. And I hope that Z4II's theory doesn't come true. I love PhotoShop, because of its amazing features that surprises me over time. For instance, thanks to PS:CS, I can make better layouts!

I like the effect of competition. It brings prices down for consumers (me).
