A very valid point dear. It is a comercialization of Love and there should be no doubt to that. But at the same time I believe that it also does provides one opportunity to show your deep emotions :-)

It is upto us to chose among the two. Either we want to become the victim of this consumer-ism or use this golden opportunity to spend some quality time with your love.

I agree my friend.
Myself, I know that it is commercialized but still I want to celebrate it with the people I love (who can be counted on one hand), just so as to show them I really care.
Because everybody wants to feel they're loved. So, this is an opportunity to remind to ourselves and our beloved ones our true emotions.

About valentines day I think it shud b banned
atleast in India. The day has totally lost its meaning
and now its jus another way of makin money

Welcome Guttu boss, welcome to this discussion. You at last got some time for this Debate Forum as well. Just now I replied to your post in "Suicide" and now let me share my views over the points that are being discussed under this topic.

The topic being discussed here is "What is love" and here we are trying to give different different definitions of love. Love as a feeling. Love as an emotion and Love as a respect for others. Love can have many forms. Love can be for anyone. Love knows no boundaries.

Here we are NOT discussing love in the context of ONLY sexual pleasure but we are focussing our discussion about the LOVE itself. We posted poems and lot many similar things to support our view. How we understand love..

You are right. We Love our country, Our family and our friends, our culture, our religion, we love beauty, we love life, we love nature, we love our teachers, we love elder peoples, we love .... ... i mean we can have love towards each and everything in life.. its a single universally accepted thing this world.

Why its the psycology of others that love
is nothin but between a male n female??
And which will lead to sex
