You have shed an interesting light in my statements. Yes, there is no sorrow without happiness, but... As far as the
"Is it right, that something causes us sorrow, and we do it, only in order to cause others happiness?"
is concerned, I would like to try and give you an example.
You know that if you do something, it will make you sad, yet is will make someone else happy- not happy because of your sadness, though.
E.g., you want to take a job, but you know someone else who wants it as well and needs it even more than you (just a hypothetical situation).
You may 1) Take the job and become happy yourself, or
2) Leave the job in order for the other person to take it.. Which will make you sad, but will make him/ her very happy.
Especially if you like/ love that oher person, it is a difficult choice.
So, what I am trying to say is.. Should we sometimes sacrifice our happiness
for others' happiness? If we care deeply for them? Or not?
