    What file are you trying to open......and what directory on the ftp site are you currently in when trying to access this file...

    yo may edit your file through ftp sotware... but you can view it via ftp software i guess

    you can only Edit your website from your front page or dreamweaver or notepad or what ever. you can edit then Copy and Paste it at ftp://yourusername.bizhat.com/ copy and paste your stuff at your own FTP account.

    Why would you want to view/edit your pages via your ftp program?

    You edit your pages using Dreamweaver / Frontpage etc.

    You view your pages via your browser.
