i suppose the true meaning is about humans & not events. like, don't "not expect" ur friend to lie... or, don't not expect that sm1 would say smthg bad abt u.... or don't expect the oposite too.. that sm1 u don't know at all would say ur a gentle person or a caring human being.... u might hate them in fact, but they might have this love 4 u. so... expect the unexpected..... :D
